Impossible is nothing - For NRL stars

Rugby League is known amongst its fans to be one of the toughest sports on the planet. The players are also known to be among the stupidest. In the past five years it has been rare to go a week without hearing of a player embarrassing themselves off the field. Open the back of any newspaper and you would be forgiven for mistaking it for a gossip magazine. In the past there have been charges and claims of drug abuse, rape allegations, drink driving, assault, public urination, racial slurs, and defecating in a hotels corridor.

Alone in the past month you will have heard of betting scandals, players in court fighting charges of assault and just last week a player being arrested for drunk and disorderly behaviour

The most recent incident involves Cowboys, Queensland and Australian star Jonathon Thurston who was last week arrested in Brisbane and charged with public nuisance. It is understood Thurston was asked to leave the Treasury Casino around 3.30am after disturbing patrons before police were called at around 4.15 am to the streets outside the casino due to a disturbance.

The North Queensland captain has since apologised for the incident and stated that he was deeply embarrassed.
